We’ve built a special team composed of unorthodox thinkers who do. We don’t just talk about technology – we dig into it, create it, and use it. In fact, we invent better ways to grow by using the Tray Platform to automate away manual processes and accomplish all-new workflows. The Tray Platform is our marketing team’s secret weapon to automate reporting, insights, and implementation.
Our team also has the opportunity to learn from some of the fastest-growing and most sophisticated marketing teams that happen to be customers of Tray.io. We’re a team committed to driving efficiencies, allowing us to continually uncover new areas of opportunity.
Work/Life Balance
Our focus on delivering outputs allows our team the freedom and flexibility to choose how they work, and that means that they’re always ready to have a good time. They understand that fun is an integral part of building relationships, and always look for ways to make things more engaging for those around them.
Most Trayers love spending time together in the office, but we understand that life happens – changing your circumstances from time-to-time. We’re supportive of promoting remote work when it’s required to accommodate for all of life’s events.
Our success to date is attributed to our passion for producing quality work, not total accumulated hours. We encourage all Trayers to create a balanced working life that best accommodates their specific needs. One of our Trayers, Kyle, blocks out a 90 minute window in his calendar each morning to spend time getting active at the gym. When he gets to the office, he’s recharged and ready to take action.
Being a global company also means recognizing that holidays are personal. Our open vacation policy accommodates for each individuals lifestyle. Whether it be a day off to rejuvenate, or a well-deserved holiday, our Trayers work hard and know how important it is to take time off and recharge.
Team Is Diverse
The most effective way to innovate is to encourage as many unique perspectives from within our team as possible. We’re working hard to go past dialogue on diversity. We understand how important it is to reach beyond the moral imperative of building an inclusive workplace. Our varied perspectives keep us curious, keep us learning, and ultimately keep giving us a unique problem-solving advantage in this rapidly growing space.
When recruiting new team members, we continually experiment with new frameworks to initiate diversity and inclusion. A key area we’ve identified is following the power of 3. This allows us to understand the importance of onboarding diverse candidates as groups, not just individuals in silos. Adding a collective of diverse perspectives allows us to make a meaningful impact on our status-quo.
Additionally, we also have a dedicated Slack channel to celebrate our female Trayers – or Traydies as we like to say. We use this channel to empower each female through their growth journey, as well as celebrate milestones along the way. Of course, anyone who supporters Traydies are more than welcome to join the channel too.

Trayers understand that the quality of the experience we provide customers is paramount. Maintaining this quality takes doing, not just seeing. Trayers don’t wait when they see a problem, they use their skills and resources to tackle it. Workflow broken? They can fix it. CPA’s increasing? Start reviewing optimization strategies ASAP. Something spilled? Paper towels on deck.
Our marketing team is genuinely passionate about keeping their finger on the pulse across the digital landscape as it rapidly evolves. Through continuous curiosity, they gain the insight needed to elevate every customer experience and ultimately make things better as a whole. They understand that it’s okay not to know everything, but value that learning is an ongoing process.
Open Communication
Internally, our success comes through clarity. Our team believes in simple, clear communication at all stages: is this too complicated? Am I making the point? We proactively aim to make sure information is always inclusive, transparent, and available. Honesty is a part of who we are, and this ability to communicate openly is what sets Trayers apart.
Our management team clearly communicates their KPIs with each Trayer, helping each individual understand where they can add value to assist in meeting these targets. After identifying individual goals, it’s possible to openly view the progress of each Trayers progress. This creates an environment where teams can drive meaningful collaborations to support each others progress.
Our leadership team comes from a place of empathy and openness where there’s a high level of transparency and all voices are heard. Weekly 1-1’s and regular company all-hands meetings create as many opportunities as possible to openly reflect on performance and plan future roadmaps.

As a global team, having the ability to communicate effectively and empathize with our remote peers is essential. Throughout our recruitment process, we’re not only interested in finding the most qualified talent, but also those who genuinely care about adding value to the business and want to empower others surrounding them. We prefer to use ‘we’ over ‘I’.
Our team prioritizes empathy in all communication. We understand that our service is our reputation, and we aim to strengthen that reputation with empathy at all stages. We continually support one another and go out of our way to help each other succeed. Trayers understand that everyone adds value to an organization, and both appreciate and respect the different work styles of their teammates.
Within our marketing team, we always phrase our stories in ways that make the user-value clear. We want team members who can put themselves in the shoes of the person using our product, and think about what will be best for them. This helps drive our customer-first marketing strategy.
Friends Outside Of Work
Trayers are smart, talented, fantastic people who also know how to have a good time. They know that in order to be at their best, they need some time to unwind.
Although we plan formalized time for company off-sites and retreats, we find that most of our out-of-office activities are organically planned by our team. It’s common for a Trayer to pay a visit to Lord George (our team hangout), only to throw a message in Slack, encouraging the rest of the team to quickly join in.
As a like-minded team of passionate people, Trayers love spending time together discovering new activities and hangouts. From frisbee golf, meals out, hipster bowling, and happy hours – we’re always looking for new ways to connect as a team.
When new Trayers join the team, we celebrate with a company-wide happy hour, allowing us to get to know our new members.

We’re a team that fully supports both the professional and personal development of each member. Trayers have endless opportunities to learn and grow professionally in a fun, fast-paced, and open environment.
