Harry’s came to fruition with simple, fairly priced products that delivered an amazing experience to men every day. Since 2013, we’ve scaled internationally, developed relationships with retailers such as Target and Walmart, expanded our grooming brand into a personal care powerhouse, and even launched a dedicated brand for women – Flamingo.

The key to our success? Our amazing people. Our team lives our values every day. We’re collaborative, always learning, and always searching for the path less travelled. Everyone is looking out for each other and working together to help Harry’s reach transparent, company-wide goals. People come for free razors, but stay for the unbeatable culture we’ve fostered.

Open Communication

Transparency is at the core of everything we do at Harry’s. Whether it be how we communicate internally, or how we interact with our customers, we value open and honest communication at all times. When our team has a clear understanding of company goals, each member can assimilate how their work makes a tangible impact on the overall brand.

Our open office space facilitates free communication across different departments, allowing team members to share their different perspectives and work collaboratively to enhance our customer experience.

Each Wednesday, our CEO’s (Jeff & Andy) host a company-wide all-hands meeting where we openly discuss our performance, goals and future roadmap. This provides a great opportunity to also share new ad campaigns we’re launching, discuss the overall health of Harry’s, and deep dive into what’s happening amongst each team. Additionally, once a quarter, our CEO’s host AMA sessions during lunch. Our team values this time to resolve any unanswered queries they might have.

Within our marketing team, we also conduct weekly 1-1’s between team leaders and each member to provide feedback and advice. We use open communication to not only streamline company operations, but also to support the development of each team member as individuals. 

We also have a dedicated Slack channel for owning up to mistakes. After each post, our team takes the time to share genuine feedback to support the growth of their colleagues.

Friends Outside Of Work

We’re always finding new ways to get together outside of the office to celebrate special occasions. Working alongside a team of passionate, like-minded people, it’s hard not to enjoy each others company. 

Although we host scheduled company-ran events like yearly offsite retreats and brand anniversary parties, we find there’s no shortage of occasions to celebrate in between. Whether it be a team hitting a new milestone, welcoming a new recruit, or just looking for some out-of-office fun, there’s always someone organizing something.

Some of our recent team memories include hosting our own Harry’s Olympics, taking part in a team scavenger hunt, and visiting the zoo. These have always been follower by a get together at a bar afterwards.

Engages With Community

We’re a mission-driven company that’s passionate about making a conscious effort to give back to the community. As a brand originally positioned in the men’s health landscape, we’re vehement about supporting organizations in line of improving mental health – particularly for military veterans and their families.

We have a dedicated team within Harry’s who’s responsible for identifying and measuring tangible KPIs for the social impact we make as a company. By working closely with 8 different mental health organizations, we’ve contributed almost $4 million of our sales to support these laudable causes.

Our community partnerships also go beyond making meaningful donations. By forming ongoing partnerships, we constantly collaborate with these organizations to build shared creative assets for campaigns, and offer team time to volunteer at events or services. We even have a dedicated Slack channel for sharing new volunteer opportunities within the community.

Data-Driven

Our marketing team is comprized of strategic thinkers who can translate quantitative and qualitative insights into strong marketing strategies. We’re highly organized doers with a strong bias towards action. We empower our team to constantly analyze past performance data to make well-informed decisions about key marketing targets. Through constant testing, we drive efficiency and effectiveness of our customer funnel by properly forecasting and reporting on the metrics that matter (CAC, CPA, Retention, LTV).

Our digital marketing strategy spans far beyond an initial campaign launch. Post-launch, team members continually design and implement optimization tests across our end-to-end customer funnel. By leveraging multiple data sources from different platforms, we can interpret what impact these changes will make across each stage of our funnel, and ultimately our bottom line.

Team Is Diverse

One of our greatest assets is our ability to aggregate an assortment of unique perspectives and experiences through our diverse team. Our management team at Harry’s is a fair representation of our staff. We have a VP and C-Suite that is built of 50% women, and have hired from underrepresented communities throughout the leadership group.

Our total workforce includes over 50% women, and around 30% of people being of color. Our thorough recruitment process sees us manually removing unconscious bias by taking the time to properly search for diverse candidates. Although we’re proud of our diversity achievements to date, we’re always working to improve the breadth of our teams DNA.

Supports Health & Wellness

We understand that our teams performance is a direct representation of each individuals well-being. Whether it be access to physical activities or wellness programs, we aim to cater to the unique needs of each member.

At the beginning of each week, team members are welcome to join our Meditation Monday classes, making for a great kickstart to the week ahead. Our open vacation policy is supportive of ‘My Time’ for days when you’re feeling unwell or need a moment to unwind. We also offer health and fitness reimbursements of $150 per quarter, which team members are free to spend on their activity of choice.

Supportive Of Parents

When life calls, we’re here to support our team along the journey. For those who are welcoming new additions to their family, we offer 16 weeks of paid leave for all new parents – which applies to birth, adoption, and all paths to parenthood. This policy also extends to both moms and dads. When returning to work, new parents are supported through part-time working opportunities to ensure they can remain with their new additions through these precious first months. We’ve also built dedicated mothers rooms throughout our office.
