Our marketing team has the opportunity to frequently work closely with our sales, product, and development teams. Whether it be sharing user feedback with our customer success team, or even planning content strategies that align with our business development goals – we empower teams across departments to collectively work together and achieve the same common goal.
By working closely with different departments, marketers gain a richer insight into how our product functions, allowing them to craft more effective messaging to our target personas. As an international team, our collaboration doesn’t just stop across departments, but also extends across borders as we work collectively between offices.
Data-Driven
Data is a key influence in driving the digital marketing engine at Intercom. We use data to ensure we’re consistently confident in our decision making. Whether it be analysing the results of different campaigns, or forecasting the performance of new strategies – we harness the data we have available to make well-informed decisions.
Our digital marketing team continually measures and monitors the performance of all marketing activities, allowing us to drive improvements and confidently determine what meaningful impact they will have on the business. We understand the importance of setting clear targets, then identifying how to properly leverage the necessary infrastructure to measure these core results.

Each month our global team will dial in for our all-hands meetings where our leadership team is transparent about our quarterly and annual goals. We’ll also take the time to discuss any major marketing campaigns currently in progress and actively encourage our team to show their support by sharing it within their network.
Our weekly show and tells are also a great opportunity to gather in our canteen and hear honest feedback from our colleagues about the projects we’re working on.

We harness the power of our product at the core of each strategy we create. With integrations across industry-leading tools like Marketo and Hubspot, we’re able to easily integrate our powerful communication channel throughout every stage of our customer lifecycle.

From our comprehensive health insurance, to serving healthy meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in the office Mon-Fri, we’ve built a culture that prioritizes the wellness of each team member.
Once a week, our team also has the opportunity to take part in our yoga sessions, or even join their colleagues outside of the office to take part in workouts (swimming in the Bay has been popular).

Friends Outside Of Work
Outside of work, Intercomrades are always looking for ways to spend time together and involve their friends and family. Once a quarter, we host team offsites to spend time together enjoying each others company. From attending baseball games, hiking in the Muir Woods, and even visiting the museum of ice cream – we’re always on the hunt for fun activities that bring us together.
When onboarding new team members, we’ll host a team lunch or happy hour where we can get to know the member better.
